Middle East/African Politics

You will write a research paper in which you present your research and analysis on a topic of contemporary interest in African or Middle Eastern politics. You have free reign to select any topic under the sun, as long as it pertains to some modern political issue in this region. You could choose to research the politics of a country of interest to you (“The Politics of Ghana”), an ongoing conflict (“Syrian Civil War”), a pressing political issue (“The HIV/AIDS Crisis in Africa”), or whatever interests you.
