Film Analysis

WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT
Whether you choose a psychoanalytic, feminist, or postmodernist approach, pick ONE film or television text, and analyze it according to the selected methodology. Develop a thesis that relates the film or media text with your chosen theoretical paradigm. As with the previous assignment, do not choose a film screened in class for this course (Into the Woods, The Dreamers, Tell me a riddle, and Be Kind Rewind.) Be sure to demonstrate your understanding of the concepts at hand, and be sure to use proper terminology. Ultimately, what are you trying to say about your chosen text? How will you use your theoretical method to explore that?
